Hi, I’m Wajeeha Abbasi — Toronto-based Brand Designer & Creative Strategist by day & Illustrator by night , designing for social impact in education, development and healthcare.

Wajeeha (pronounced wuh-JEE-ha). With 10+ years of experience, I work across branding, packaging, editorial, tech and interactive mediums, exploring themes of self-identity, feminism, food and culture —often drawing from my Desi background.

I have received a Ladybird Books Publications award, and have exhibited at Art Toronto, NOW Gallery and London Design Festival. Over the years, I have collaborated with brands like NASA, Coca-Cola, British Council Libraries, YLabs, WOW Festival and UN Women, among others.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (2012) and a Master’s in Illustration and Visual Media from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London (2015), where I was the recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Award.

Outside of work, I enjoy indie music, concerts, printmaking, exploring new creative mediums, traveling and finding inspiration in history and culture.
