LADYBIRD BOOKS REIMAGINED
Interactive Installation – London Design Festival, 2015
Award-winning interactive installation celebrating 100 years of Ladybird Books, reimagining the archive as a playful, analog search engine connecting ideas across time.
BRIEF:
To design an exhibition visual or interactive showcase to honour the legacy of the Ladybird Books Publications as they celebrate the 100 years of Ladybird books, sponsored by the Penguin Books Publishing Group, UK.
IDEA:
Ladybird Books are treated as an analog search engine, linking classic imagery to contemporary and comparative visuals. The Ladybird Web uses a network of colourful strings to connect ideas from past, present and future, creating a playful yet structured visual system that celebrates the books’ educational and informative nature.
The interactive exhibition pays homage to the legacy of Ladybird Books and its illustrators.
